Christine Nicholls gave a very interesting talk about her newly published book “Red Strangers: The White Tribe of Kenya” at the Kenya High Commission on Monday, 31st October at 7 pm.

With the stately lowering of the Union flag in December 1963, seventy years of British rule in Kenya came to an abrupt end. Christine Nicholls’ book reveals Kenya’s forgotten history, from its early explorers and the creation of the Imperial British East Africa Company, through two World Wars, to the demise of colonial rule and Kenyan African ascendancy.

The talk was well attended and Christine took a question and answer session.
