A very interesting and thought provoking talk by Mr Joseph Masindet was given on Wednesday, 9 March 2005 at 7 pm at the Kenya High Commission, London

It was evident from Mr Masindet's talk that the Masaai people are now demanding that Land which they once occupied for generations and which was handed over to European Settlement in the 1900s be returned to them.

Joseph Masindet, a lecturer and teacher by profession, is the Chairman of Friends of Maasai People. Friends of Maasai -P-eople is an international organisation based in the UK whose aim is to promote development of the Maasai people in education, help tackle poverty and promote good health of the Maasai people at an international level. Besides the above, the organisation is primarily focussed on educating the wider world on Maasai culture and their heritage which also include wildlife and land. Joseph Masindet explored many topics in his talk concerning the Maasai people.
