Claire Foottit gave a very interesting talk on “What does Responsible Tourism do for Kenya?” to the Members of the Kenya Society on Wednesday, 21 April 2004 at the Royal Overseas League, Park Place, London at 7 pm.
Illustrated with photos taken over a period of two years, Claire looked at safaris, people, the wildlife and the environment.
Claire Foottit was born in Kenya and is the author of the recently published Bradt Guide to Kenya. Currently working as a photojournalist specializing in African tourism and conservation, she has an in-depth knowledge of Kenya’s tourism, wildlife conservation and cultural issues and a comprehensive understanding of the country, based on ten years’ experience in the African travel industry. She has had over 60 articles published in newspapers and articles that include The Times and The Scotsman and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
