The Annual Lunch was held on 21 March 2006 at the Royal Overseas League, Park Place, London following the 16th Annual General Meeting. Lord Steel of Aikwood, KT, KBE, PC was the Guest of Honour.

Lord Steel is a British and Scottish politician and Liberal Democratic member of the UK House of Lords. He was leader of the Liberal Party from 1976 - 1988 when it merged with the Social Democratic Party that later formed the liberal Democrats. He was joint leader of the Lib Dems and also the first presiding officer (Speaker) of the Scottish Parliament from 1999 - 2003. Lord Steel was brought up in Scotland and Kenya.
